Burntisland enjoys Highland Games in the rain
20 JulyRain couldn't dampen spirits at Burntisland's 358th annual highland games - with former residents returning for a reunion at the burgh chambers.
And although the afternoon's dancing was cancelled, thousands turned out to enjoy the day, with the Burntisland and District Pipe Band leading the parade to the Links where competitors took part in events including running, cycling and field events.
The games started in torrential rain, but games chieftain Bobby Jeffrey said it would take more than the weather to dampen spirits.
Visitors from Australia, New Zealand and Abu Dhabi were amongst those returning to Burntisland for the day.
